Friday and Saturday 9:30-11:30am each day

Tuition: $60 onsite for 2 sessions; or $30 per session

$10 off if you attend both sessions and register in advance. Your $30 deposit covers one session; if you attend both sessions the teacher will collect the balance due onsite. 50% refundable for cancellations more than one month in advance. Festival admission required in addition to tuition.

David Patton

David Patton (Philpot, KY) started banjo lessons on his 35th birthday. At a banjo camp soon after, Pete Wernick urged him to start jamming, leading Dave to start a successful weekly jam. That jam spun out his first band. With them and over 10 years with Steel Pennies, he performed throughout Colorado and other states and hosted jamming and instrumental workshops. Now in Owensboro, Kentucky, David recounts, “I could not have imagined the impact bluegrass music would have on my life. It’s become a passion I share with my wife, Kathy, and our musical journey has enriched our lives immensely.”
