Jam Camp prior to Gettysburg Festival

Monday, 1pm-5pm; Tuesday/Wednesday 9am-5pm; Thursday 9am-noon

Tuition: $250

$10 off through April 15. $50 deposit holds your spot; 50% refundable for cancellations more than one month in advance. You will be sent the full set of of student materials as soon as you register.

Each student must submit proof of COVID vaccination. Instructions are provided upon registration.

Ira Gitlin is widely known and respected in Washington-Baltimore music circles as a versatile multi-instrumentalist, teacher, and writer. A winner of the National Bluegrass Banjo Championship at Winfield, he has also performed with such nationally known performers as the Johnson Mountain Boys, Laurie Lewis, and Peter Rowan.

Ira has taught at many camps and workshops, helping students master the basic skills that will make them a welcome presence at any jam session.

    Looking forward to real intensive instruction on jamming. Have heard many talks in all the basic etiquette, etc. Those were important, but don’t get you very far when you’re actually trying to join in the music-in-progress at a jam.
