Kevin Greer (Brooklyn, NY) learned guitar as a child in Fayetteville, AR and attended countless square dances and country/bluegrass events. Growing up in New York City, he played in rock bands and later studied fingerpicking, gypsy jazz, and slide guitar, as well as mandolin. As a high school English teacher (in Los Angeles, the Bronx, and Brooklyn), Kevin taught scores of after-school music clubs and workshops. In recent years he has immersed himself in the New York City bluegrass jam scene, attending many jams and performing at The Jalopy Theater, Sunny’s Bar, and the Brooklyn Folk Festival.
