This “Level 2” camp is a combination of group sessions, breakout sessions, and individual instruction — a dive into rhythmic cohesion, speed, drive, clarity, and technique variations, all based around bluegrass style rhythm. Developed by Larry Kernagis and the award winning band Nu-Blu, in this camp you will get the unique experience to play along with the band, as a band member, so that you can “FEEL” the difference in the rhythm, not just hear it.

The teaching is structured around the concept of playing with the proper rhythm and how that directly relates not only to your instrument but the others in the jam, as well as how it affects vocals and phrasing. You will learn the subtle differences that will help you “get out of the slow jam.” It’s this pinpoint approach to each instrument and its role in the total sound of a song that makes this camp suitable for pickers who have attended a Wernick Method class or camp, or a first time attendee. Includes special concert at the end of the event.
