Trish Imbrogno (Pittsburgh, PA) began bass at 14, studying classical music at Duquesne University and bluegrass with standouts Missy Raines, David McLaughlin, and Alan Bartram. After nearly 25 years of orchestral playing including at Carnegie Hall and other prestigious venues, Trish hung up her concert blacks, pulled on a pair of cowboy boots and hasn’t looked back. She plays with the Sweaty Already String Band, Molly Alphabet Band, and Moose Lodge Revival. In 2018 she was selected for the Leadership Bluegrass Class of the International Bluegrass Music Association. Trish is well-versed in bluegrass, country, and folk music and has become one of the most sought-after bassists in western Pennsylvania.
“The jams Trish hosts are very welcoming to new pickers and fun for those more experienced.
