Joe Ross is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed and recorded since the 1970s in bluegrass and other styles, with such bands as the High Mountain Ramblers, Sagegrass, Cold Thunder, Umpqua Valley Bluegrass Band, Sunny Sky Boys and Tidewater Twang. Joe teaches mandolin, banjo, guitar, bass and is also a well-known music journalist and reviewer. His teaching approach is easy-going, individualized and confidence-building. He emphasizes the enjoyment, fun and camaraderie of making music together.
